Harrisville State Park

This little gem is sandwiched between US-23 and Lake Huron, north of Oscoda.

😊 = Good
😐 = Okay
😞 = Lousy

Bathrooms   😊

No ickiness factor here at all.  There used to be two bathrooms at either end of the park, they tore those down and built this new building in the middle of the park on the beach.  

 

Playground   😞

There are two metal slides that are like 50 years old, and a swing set.  At least the swing set has a good view.    

Beach/Swimming   😐

Lots of gravel this year on the beach.  Ken thought I was a wimp because I wouldn't get my bathing suit on.  Great beach to sit on and relax, or find Petoskey stones, but for swimming you need to walk through about 10 feet of rocks before it gets sandy again.   

Dog Beach   😊

There is a dog beach at the end of the park.  Not super sandy, but Taffy didn't mind too much.  There is also a dog run next to the dog beach, a nice walk in the woods with lots of trees :)

Worst thing about this park:  

With the new bathroom building in the middle, there are a lot of campsites with a very long walk to the bathroom.    

Best thing about this park:

You can camp literally a few steps away from Lake Huron, love the sound of those waves!
